Istanbul, Türkiye – In a landmark development at the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, Turkish defense technology giant HAVELSAN has formalized a pivotal agreement with UAE-based Calidus. This strategic partnership is set to revolutionize pilot training for Calidus’ advanced B-250 light attack aircraft, marking a significant stride in international defense cooperation and bolstering Türkiye’s global defense export capabilities.
The newly signed agreement outlines HAVELSAN’s commitment to developing and delivering a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge training systems specifically tailored for the B-250 platform. This collaboration builds upon an initial protocol established during SAHA EXPO in October 2023, reflecting a sustained commitment from both entities.
Under the terms of the agreement, HAVELSAN will provide a robust training infrastructure comprising:
- B-250 Flight Training Device (FTD): Designed to offer realistic flight simulation experiences.
- B-250 Part Task Trainers (PTT): Focusing on specific operational aspects and skills.
- Briefing and Debriefing Station (DBR): Essential for pre-flight planning and post-flight analysis.
- Cockpit Entry/Exit Simulator (CIES): Crucial for safety training, teaching proper procedures for aircraft entry and emergency egress.
- Computer-Based Training System (CBT): Providing flexible and interactive learning modules for theoretical knowledge and procedural training.
This partnership is poised to significantly enhance Calidus’ ability to deliver world-class operational training for B-250 customers, ensuring that next-generation pilots are equipped with modern and high-tech training solutions.
