Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation has delivered a new batch of upgraded Su-57 fighters to the Ministry of Defense, signaling continued production and deployment of the fifth-generation aircraft despite reported losses from Ukrainian drone strikes.
Russia’s defense industry has delivered a new batch of Su-57 fifth-generation fighter aircraft to the Ministry of Defense as part of ongoing transfers to the Russian Aerospace Forces. United Aircraft Corporation, operating under Rostec, said the jets completed factory testing and were accepted by technical personnel before handover. Pilots later evaluated the aircraft in multiple operating modes, with the fighters delivered in a new technical configuration featuring upgrades to avionics and the integrated weapons suite.

The Su-57, known by NATO as the Felon, is a multirole stealth fighter designed to engage air, ground, and maritime targets in all-weather conditions and contested electronic environments. Officials say the latest batch reflects continued refinement of the platform, with improvements aimed at expanding mission roles, strengthening weapons integration, and increasing operational flexibility.
Industry leadership described the aircraft as undergoing ongoing modernization, with enhancements to onboard systems, maneuverability, and combat capabilities. Russian authorities have also stated that the Su-57 has been used in the Ukraine conflict, while open-source reports indicate some aircraft have been damaged or destroyed in Ukrainian drone strikes.
